Heparin, a natural anticoagulant, is a kind of sulphated glycosaminoglycans. The molecule is a chain structure consisting of repeated hexose or octose units, its main disaccharide units is trithionic acid disaccharide. Heparin presents in various mammalian tissues including liver, lung, heart, spleen, kidney, thymus, intestinal mucosa, muscle and blood. Usually heparin can be extracted from porcine intestinal mucosa and lung or bovine lung. Heparin sodium is a white or off-white color powder, odorless, hygroscopic, freely soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvent such as ethanol, acetone, dioxane and so on. Grade: Injectable/ topical / crude. Packaging: Paper-drum (370mm*400mm) with a lining of two polyethylene film bags, 25kg a drum. Storage: Preserve in tight container. Validity: Two years |
